Macnica and Intersil Expand Partnership to Central Europe
Macnica GmbH, a German subsidiary of one of Japan's premier semiconductor distributors, Macnica, Inc., headquartered in Yokohama, Japan, has entered into a definitive distribution agreement with Intersil, who itself is a leader in specializing in high performance analog and mixed signal semiconductors.
Macnica's global workforce comprises over 1,500 employees, and for the fiscal year ending March 2009 Macnica attained approximately US$1.3B in revenue. More than one-forth (400) of it's total employees are highly skilled engineering talents, including engineers in the fields of : semiconductor application support, electronic circuitry design, and embedded software development that provides component level support to system level consulting services.
Macnica, Inc., established Macnica GmbH in June 2008, with sales offices in Ingolstadt and Dusseldorf to provide European customers with timely and in depth service in the latest semiconductor product trends along with direct comprehensive technical support of unparalleled levels. Macnica, Inc's., close working relationship with Intersil has spanned for more than 30 years of successful partnership in Japan.

Macnica GmbH will start product shipment for Intersil in June in Central Europe from its European Distribution Center located in Munich.
